Gorgeous Natural Light Photography Studio
The Solarium is a natural light photography studio available for rent in the heart of NE Minneapolis, for any event or occasion. Whether you’re a photographer who needs a space to shoot a newborn session, or you’re just looking for a space for a small business event, our space can cater to your needs.
The studio features five large south-facing windows and two large north-facing windows, so no matter what the weather conditions are, the studio is well lit. The space is also a perfect blend (if I do say so myself) of early 1900s architecture, with mid-century-modern furnishings – and has updated office and kitchen amenities you can access on site.

A Curated Indoor Space
The space is perfect for client meetings, pre-production planning, and hourly or even multi-day shoots.
The mail feature of this lovely studio is the 25-foot all white shooting wall, with 10-inch vintage baseboards and 2-inch original maple flooring. The neutral tones, vintage touches, and natural light offer a warm, airy setting without the need for additional studio lighting.
However, if you need a more dramatic backdrop, a 17-foot black velvet theater curtain is suspended on a rolling track in the studio, and available for use.
The Solarium Features
You get access to the main space when renting The Solarium, but you may also use the full attached kitchen! It’s separated by a unique vintage pass-through window, and can be converted to an oversized dressing room for your event or production, or arranged for a professional makeup artist to attend.
